CLASS OF ’27  (Documentary, 22 min)

Follow preschoolers and their caretakers in Owsley County, KY, as they battle the cyclical poverty and rampant drug culture that ravage this green, mountainous countryside. Once described in a New York Times economic report as a “smudge on the nation,” Owsley County actually has many people pulling for its future.

GOING THE DISTANCE  (Documentary, 10 min)

Every year, more than 100,000 track-and-field fans flock to the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field to attend the Penn Relays, a 3-day event hosting nearly 20,000 runners at all levels of competition. One race stands out from the rest: the Masters 75-and-older 100-meter dash. GOING THE DISTANCE profiles three runners in the 2015 race.

GOING BACK HOME  (Documentary, 17 min)

Manchester, NH, graduate student Peter Nhiany juggles three full-time jobs alongside his schoolwork, sending every cent he makes to his family in Sudan. His is a story of tenuous survival amidst grave danger. Follow Peter’s journey as he travels home for the first time in over three years to reunite with his wife and two children.

A LIVING WAGE  (Documentary, 17 min)

At the front lines of the struggle in Boston for a $15 minimum wage and union rights are Darius Cephas, a McDonald’s fry cook, and Tiny Figueroa, a Dunkin’ Donuts barista. A LIVING WAGE follows the pair for a year as they organize for economic justice, help build a major grassroots social movement, and force local politicians into action.
